SJF Eco Team Update: Our Environmental Review

30th Sep 2025

This week, the SJF Eco Team carried out the school’s Annual Environmental Review. Working in mixed-age groups, older pupils supported younger ones in assessing how well the school is doing in areas such as energy use, healthy living, global citizenship, recycling and waste, outdoor spaces, and water consumption. The review helps highlight strengths, identify areas for improvement, and will guide the team’s termly goals for the year.

Reflecting on the process, Movean (Y5) said:
"It was important to do the Environmental Review. It helps us know which areas to work on and where we can best help the environment. It was interesting to think about the different areas of the school the Eco Team will cover."

The team also signed their Eco Pledge, agreeing the rules and responsibilities for the year ahead. They are now eager to create and implement their action plan to make a positive impact across the school.
