Colour Smash

16th Jun 2023

On Thursday ten pupils from Years 5 and 6 headed out to Don Valley Bowl to participate in the LINKS 'colour smash' along with other children from other schools. It was a fantastic morning full of fun challenges and a superb running event which left us all a little more colourful!

The event started with some short challenges in the centre before our race began. The challenges included a beanbag toss, basketball rebound, the 'head, shoulders, knees and toes' challenge and a parachute game. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

The race itself was fantastic. Whilst running around the track, sports leaders from Springs Academy and Handsworth School threw powder paint at us in many different colours! By the end we were all absolutely covered from head to toe in blue, pink and green powder paint!
