FS2: Our Wonderful 'Cold' Colour Art

9th Jan 2026

In FS2 we have been looking outside, at images of wintery scenes, and looking at pictures and illustrations in winter books. The children identified all the different colours that we see outside in the wintery weather.

All the children took turns to add these 'cold' colours to a long sheet of 'icy' silver paper. They used paints, brushes, dabbers, scrappers as well as their hands to add and mix the colours. The children all sorted through our sequin selection to find cold colour sequins and glitter to add some texture to our beautiful artwork.
