Y1 History: The Chronology of Teddy Bears

16th Oct 2021

The children have been using all they have learn about older and newer toys to help them today.

We had lots of teddy bears to look at and I asked them to decide how we should order them, oldest to newest.

They were introduced to a time line  and chronology and they used all their detective skills, along with information from a book and informative PowerPoint to help them.

  • Did you know that the Teddy Bear was invented in honour of President Theodore Roosevelt?
  • It all began when Theodore Roosevelt was on a bear-hunting trip in Mississippi on 14th November 1902
