Y1 English: Capital Letters!

15th Nov 2020

This week the children are learning to recognise and write capital letters.

They played games to match an upper and lower case letter, said the letter name and the sound that it makes.

Tomorrow they will use capital letters for writing the names of the meerkats in our story 'Meerkat Mail'. We will ensure that the children use capital letters each time and that they are formed correctly and look a bit bigger than the lower case letters.

You can help your child by encouraging them to practise writing capital letters at home in felt tip, paints, chalk or pencils.
