Builder Day

16th Jan 2018

Yesterday the children in Year 1 enjoyed a great day as builders.  They all looked fantastic dressed up.  We began by writing questions for our visitors and then after break we investigated straw, sticks and bricks to see which we could blow down ourselves and which the big bad ‘hair dryer’ could blow down.  There were some great predicting skills.

After lunch we welcome Mrs James and Giles from Ryknekld homes.  They showed children the protective equipment needed to be safe and how tools are used.  The children were able to use a drill with an adult, to screw and unscrew screws into and out of wood.

A huge thank you to our visitors for being able to come and see us today.
