Book of the Week for Older Children

3rd Jul 2021

This week’s recommendation comes from Mr Barratt and is called When the Sky Falls’ by Philip Earle.

Mr Barratt writes:

It is 1940 and the war is raging across Europe and the world. The enemy is on the doorstep and Joseph has been packed off to stay with Mrs F, a gruff woman who does not like children.

As the bombs start to fall on British cities, Joseph focuses on protecting a gorilla called Adonis, in this tense and exciting thriller, based on a true story. A fantastic read! I loved it!
