Y2 Be Safe Be Happy Week 2025: How to Keep Ourselves Clean and Safe!

5th Nov 2025

Our Y2 children welcomed the wonderful Mrs Denham to talk to them about the importance of washing our hands and not spreading germs. She used her nursing knowledge to show everyone some important tips and tricks to remember when washing their hands thoroughly, especially all those trickier areas that we might sometimes miss.

Mrs Denham then showed the children  and how to catch a cough and sneeze safely. She also showed everyone just how far a single sneeze can travel, which surprised everyone, enormously! The children could hardly believe that single sneeze could cover their whole class!

Mrs Denham then used a special light to show everyone how we can pass germs from one person to another.

It was such an interesting session, and everyone was very grateful Mrs Denham for giving up her precious time to talk them!
