Advent Wreaths

14th Dec 2018

Today we have made our own Advent wreaths, we made an ever green circle which represents God's never ending love for us all. We added 3 purple candles which represent Hope, love and Peace and the pink candle for Joy. We talked about lighting the white candle on Christmas Day as this reminds us of Jesus the Light of the World.

We have been thinking about Advent which is the time of waiting before the arrival of Jesus at Christmas, Jesus' birthday. The children have talked about the different things they can do during Advent.

The children are looking forward to adding their paper flames on their wreaths as we move through Advent.

They did a great job!
