Advent Wreath Blessing Liturgy 2019

1st Dec 2019

Today the young people of Y4 led our annual Advent Wreath liturgy as they do every year.

It was a fantastic liturgy that explained the origins of Advent; enabling us all to understand why the season of Advent is such an important part of the Church’s year.

The Y4 children were wonderful; so well prepared.

They carried out their roles beautifully and we were all extremely proud of them.

Thank you also to Mr Broadhead for all his hard work in preparing the liturgy; Mr Tandy for supporting the music; the children for singing so magnificently; and everyone who was able to join us.

Finally we would like to thank Fr Paul for joining us and for blessing the wreaths.

It really was a joyous and thought-provoking liturgy and such a fitting way to start Advent at SJF!
