This week the children of Y1 are exploring 2D shapes.
They have been investigating how many sides different shapes have. They have also observed whether shapes had straight or curved sides and counted corner. They also considered how a square was different to a rectangle.
Everyone then created their own shape pictures and counted, counting how many of each shape had been included.
Aren't they wonderful?
Later in the week we will investigate 3D (solid) shapes.
