Welcome to St John Fisher
St John Fisher is an aspirational learning community, shaped by a clear vision, shared values, and a proud Catholic ethos.
We have high expectations and are ambitious for every child. We work tirelessly to ensure that all our children feel happy, safe, and loved—both in school and beyond. Our aim is to inspire every child to enjoy learning and to achieve their very best each day...
We believe that every child is unique and gifted. At St John Fisher, we celebrate individuality and nurture each child’s talents, helping them to recognise their strengths and grow in confidence. This is a place where children are known, understood, and valued.
Respect, kindness, tolerance, and understanding are the hallmarks of our school culture. We are proudly inclusive and place great importance on good manners and positive behaviour. Every child is given opportunities to succeed, and we support them in developing the skills and character needed to thrive as lifelong learners.
We value our parents and carers, recognising them as our children's first and most important educators. We actively invite partnership and involvement, keeping families informed and engaged with all aspects of school life.
I am incredibly proud of our pupils and of how we continue to grow and flourish together as a community.
If you would like to learn more, we warmly invite you to arrange a visit. Our newsletters and Curriculum Overviews, which chart our ongoing journey, are also available and provide a valuable insight.
Thank you for visiting our website.

Term 6 Smiley Scores (2024-25)
Our current Sports Majors were joined by the children from Y5 who will take over from them next year. Together they came up with a fun BYB challenge based on netball.
The idea is to work as a team to keep the ball from the opposing players. The idea is to never stop moving in order to lose your market and to find good spaces from which to make or receive a pass.
The challenge can be made more or less difficult by changing the size of the playing area and/or the number of players on each size.
Come and join the Sports Majors at morning break and have a go. Will your throwing, catching and movement off the ball improve over the week?

Our school is an Operation Encompass school.

Our Safeguarding Team is:

We take the safeguarding and wellbeing of our children extremely seriously and remind our children continually of their right to feel happy, safe and loved every day in and out of school. Children are encouraged to 'Tell! Tell! Tell!' if they are worried about anything or anyone.
Children have a number of options for raising issues and accessing support:
Our fantastic SJF Wake and Shakers have lots of different routines to get you energised and feeling positive at the start of each new day! Click to view the daily routines, and join us every day at 8.40am!
