Y6 Geography: Industrial Revolution

28th Feb 2025

In Term 4 Y6 geography we are exploring the effects of globalisation on the human and physical geography of various environments. This week the children of Y6 studied the advent of the Industrial Revolution in the 18th Century and the geographical implications for Sheffield, Great Britain and the world.

The children created these fantastic information leaflets, detailing aspects of the Industrial Revolution such as the expansion of cities and their populations, the increased movement of people and information, as well as its effects on the physical world.

We look forward to exploring further the effects of industry on our environment and human life in an increasingly global world.
