Time

12th May 2019

Today the children started learning about time.

We began be collecting any words they could think of related to time, such as: 'clock', 'day', 'week', 'o'clock', 'half-past', 'later', 'today' etc.

Each child then made their own clock to excite and enthuse them about the new topic and to use as a resource to refer back to over the week.

This was also a great way  for the children to also practise their cutting skills.

They used their clocks to make o'clock times.

At home it would be really helpful if you talked about what time you do things e.g. its 5 o'clock and it's tea time/7 o'clock and bed time etc.

We will also be learning half past this week as well as days of the week and months of the year.
