FS2 Science: Investigating Ladybirds 🐞

17th Jun 2022

This week the young people of FS2 have been learning about ladybirds.

They have learned the Makaton sign for a ladybird and produced a fact sheet about ladybirds. They even sculpted a clay ladybird of their own!

At the end of the week they heard the story of ‘ The very lazy ladybird’, which the children enjoyed. They then created their own versions of the story, remembering to think of different animals that the ladybird jumped between. A lot of fantastic work was produced by the children!

As you will see with our clay ladybirds, the children are not always red, which is something that surprised lots of the children in class!
